In 2008, our economy took a nose dive that was the worst one many of us have ever experienced. Success stories were more about survival than thriving. The inBuzz team was working for one of those trying to survive insurance agencies—many businesses did not survive. Even though the agency survived it was not growing and the marketplace was changing.
In 2011, after looking at several alternative solutions, the agency began to change its direction by marketing in a fashion that consumers were now looking. We looked at using all-inclusive options like the old Astonishing Results, as well as several stand-alone pieces. Ultimately we decided to take control over our own destiny and went with an inbound marketing strategy and started using the Hubspot marketing platform.
Over the next three years we slowly changed the direction of the agency by controlling the website and its content ourselves. The Hubspot tool allowed us to easily integrate social media, blogging and our web presence. The use of their powerful reporting and SEO tools allowed us to optimize our position in many markets.
The results were steady and we have always been happy with our progress. Diversified Insurance Service now has a constant flow of leads into the agency every day. The chart to the right shows an early Hubspot monthly report and you will see below a more recent report showing the growth that come from implementing an inbound strategy.
Diversified Insurance Service has seen a steady increase in traffic visits, as well as new contacts/leads. The website has nearly one hundred insurance keywords that rank first or on the first page of Google searches. There are thousands of visits to the Diversified blog every month and the blog can be attributed to much of Diversified’s success. The agency has experienced tremendous growth and has increased new business production from 2013 to 2014 by 115%.
